Dependency & Recovery Team Leader
Location: Staffordshire | Shropshire | Herefordshire (Peripatetic Role)
Pay Rate: £24 – £27 per hour
Contract: 3 Months (Potential Extension)
Hours: Full-time
Seven Resourcing are currently recruiting for a Dependency & Recovery Team Leader to join a specialist service supporting People on Probation (PoP) across Staffordshire, Shropshire, and Herefordshire.
This is a leadership-focused role where you will oversee service delivery, support staff development, and ensure high-quality interventions that promote recovery, reduce harm, and support long-term rehabilitation.
You will play a key role in delivering an outcome-focused, person-centred service, working closely with criminal justice partners and community organisations.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
- Lead, supervise, and develop a multidisciplinary team
- Manage performance, appraisals, and staff wellbeing
- Support recruitment, induction, and ongoing development of staff
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture
Service Delivery
- Oversee delivery of screening, assessment, and psychosocial interventions
- Ensure effective recovery planning and onward referrals
- Support staff working with PoP from entry into the service through their recovery journey
- Promote harm reduction and safer communities
Quality & Performance
- Monitor service performance through data and reporting
- Drive continuous improvement and service innovation
- Ensure delivery meets outcome-focused targets and quality standards
Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work collaboratively with probation services and partner agencies
- Represent the service at internal and external meetings
- Support multi-agency working to improve outcomes for service users
Safeguarding & Compliance
- Ensure safeguarding practices are embedded across the service
- Maintain high standards of governance, confidentiality, and professional practice
- Support risk management and safe systems of work
Requirements
Essential
- Degree-level qualification or minimum 3 years’ experience within criminal justice, substance misuse, or social care
- Proven experience in team leadership or management
- Strong understanding of rehabilitation, recovery, and offender support
- Experience delivering or overseeing psychosocial interventions
- Excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills
- Ability to manage change and drive service improvement
Desirable
- Knowledge of local services across the West Midlands region
- Experience with structured interventions (e.g., ITEP/BTEI)
- Training or facilitation qualifications
