Class 2 Driver
Location: Plymouth
Shift: Monday to Friday, varied start times. Also, nights out, occasional weekends if work requires it.

About the Role
As a Class 2 Driver, you will:
- Safely operate LGV Class C vehicles fitted with tail lift equipment to transport various load types on curtain side or flatbed vehicles ranging from 3.5t to 26t.
- Complete timely collections and deliveries in line with scheduled routes, operational priorities, and environmental compliance requirements.
- Ensure safe, compliant loading, securing, and unloading of containers in accordance with company procedures and biosolids handling standards.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks, reporting any defects or maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain accurate records, including delivery/collection notes, tachograph data, and onboard system updates.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with the transport office to support smooth daily operations and customer expectations.
- Provide excellent customer service during both on-site interactions and phone communications.
- Uphold high standards of professionalism, cleanliness, and safety at all times.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Must hold a UK Class 2 C Licence.
- CPC qualification and digital tachograph card.
- Strong awareness of health & safety and environmental compliance.
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to safe working practices.
The Job Specifics:
- Competitive Salary: Earning a minimum of £32,045 plus overtime and overnights.
- Shift Hours: Monday to Friday with varied start times, accruing 42.5 hours a week and then receiving overtime at an increased rate of pay.
- Overnight Stops: Paid at £28.00 per night.
- Overtime: At £19.00 / Hour.
- Training: The company will support the continued CPC training to keep all employees compliant, along with any other general training required.
- Holiday: 28 days inclusive of Bank Holidays (Jan to Dec)
- Others: On site parking, discounts on products sold by our parent company.
