Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and personable In-store Sales/Estimator to join our retail team. This role involves engaging with customers, providing expert estimates, and assisting in the sales process to ensure a positive shopping experience. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an opportunity to develop sales expertise and contribute to the growth of our business. You will be based in the Hedge End branch, but also required to do the stores home measures at designated times - uncapped commission is paid on sales taken in store, converted measures and all company mileage expenses covered. OTE £45K PA +. The role is 5 days a week 9am - 6pm including weekends (Sunday 10am - 4pm).
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their enquiries in a professional manner
- Provide accurate and detailed estimates based on customer requirements
- Promote products and services to maximise sales opportunities
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product features, pricing, and promotions
- Process sales transactions efficiently using the point-of-sale system
- Assist in organising stock displays and ensuring the store remains tidy and inviting
- Follow up with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and improve customer service standards
Skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills with a friendly, approachable manner
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to interpret customer needs and provide suitable solutions
- Previous experience in retail sales or estimating is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Proficiency in using computer systems for estimating and sales processing
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a dynamic environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and customer demands
- A valid UK driving licence and own transport.
