Job Summary
We are looking for an upbeat, confident, reliable & physically fit member of staff to join our small family run launderette. To join us on a Saturday & Sunday. We are a very busy shop with a great reputation for our attention to detail & quick turn around times. This role is vital to maintaining high standards we already maintain.
We are a friendly team, like to have a laugh but work hard and efficiently therefore we are looking for someone who works well in a team, can use their own intuitive if necessary and has confidence working in a customer facing job.
Responsibilities
- Collect, sort, and load laundry items into washing machines and dryers according to established procedures.
- Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Fold, and organise clean linen and clothing items.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is kept in good working order.
- Assist with special laundry requests or urgent tasks as required.
- Assist customers with using the laundry equipment and giving change.
- Assisting with customers collecting their service washes.
- Answering the phone/text/Whatsapp.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar environment is preferred but not essential
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Strong work ethic with a focus on cleanliness and quality standards
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including early mornings or late evenings if required
- Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions accurately
Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
