We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist the Head Chef in managing daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and presentation. Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing diverse menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations.
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance monitoring to maintain efficient operations.
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
- Lead by example in food preparation and cooking to uphold high culinary standards.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment.
- Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food preparation.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
- Solid understanding of food safety protocols and hygiene standards.
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure.
