Role Overview
We are offering a passionate and experienced English Tutor to join our team. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality English tuition to students of varying ages and abilities, helping them develop confidence, literacy skills, and academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to individual student needs.
- Support students in reading, writing, grammar, comprehension, and exam preparation.
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Create a positive and motivating learning environment.
- Provide regular feedback to students and parents on progress and areas for improvement.
- Prepare learning materials and resources that support personalised learning plans.
- Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication skills.
Requirements
- Degree in English, Education, or a related field (preferred).
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience.
- Strong knowledge of the UK English curriculum and examination requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build rapport with students and inspire confidence.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Desirable Skills
- Experience working with students preparing for SATs, GCSEs, or A-Levels.
- Familiarity with differentiated teaching approaches.
- Experience supporting students with varying learning needs.
