We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor green spaces, ensuring they are healthy, attractive, and well-kept. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen interest in horticulture and landscape maintenance to develop their skills in a dynamic environment.
Your role:
- Planting, pruning, watering, and fertilising a variety of plants, shrubs, and trees
- Operating hand tools such as secateurs, spades, and rakes for routine garden tasks
- Utilising power tools including hedge trimmers and lawn mowers to maintain landscapes
- Installing and managing irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants
- Carrying out landscape maintenance activities such as turf care, weed control, and soil preparation
- Assisting with the design and layout of garden features in collaboration with clients or team members
- Monitoring plant health and identifying pests or diseases for appropriate treatment
- Ensuring all equipment is maintained in good working order and adhering to health and safety regulations
Skills
- Proven experience in gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems utilised in garden care
- Knowledge of plant growth, soil management, and sustainable gardening practices
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in outdoor environments
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks over extended periods and handle equipment safely
- A genuine interest in gardening and landscape aesthetics
You will be covering our holidays and scheduled knee surgery from the beginning of August.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
