Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across various commercial premises. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all areas are kept tidy, safe, and presentable, contributing to a welcoming environment for clients and staff alike. Previous janitorial experience and familiarity with commercial cleaning procedures are desirable qualities for this role.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of designated areas.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces to meet health and safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, windows, furniture, and fixtures as per company guidelines.
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels in restrooms and other facilities.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning to the supervisor promptly.
- Follow health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment at all times.
- Use specialised cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively.
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and punctuality.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning duties which may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Pay: £12.21-£17.00 per hour
