About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to lead our well-established residential care home in Worthing, supporting adults with mental health needs. This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly, long-standing team dedicated to providing high-quality, person-centred care in a supportive and stable environment.
As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and regulatory compliance of the service, ensuring the highest standards of care and support are delivered to residents. You will play a key role in maintaining a positive culture within the home, supporting staff development, and ensuring residents live safely, comfortably, and with dignity.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide strong leadership and day-to-day management of the residential service
· Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and safeguarding standards
· Promote a person-centred approach to care for individuals with mental health needs
· Lead, support, and develop a stable and committed staff team
· Oversee care planning, risk management, and quality assurance processes
· Manage staffing, recruitment, and staff training requirements
· Maintain effective communication with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies
· Ensure the home operates in line with best practice and maintains high-quality standards
Requirements
· Registered General Nurse (RGN), Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification or Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or currently working towards)
· Previous experience in a role within a residential or mental health care setting is advantageous but not essential
· Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards within the care sector
· Excellent communication and organisational skills
· A compassionate and person-centred approach to care
