We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff, to ensure efficient daily operations
- Oversee food production, preparation, and presentation to meet quality standards and customer expectations
- Manage menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and inventory control to optimise resources and minimise waste
- Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards within the kitchen
- Develop staff schedules, provide training, and support team development to foster a motivated and skilled workforce
- Monitor cooking processes to uphold consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Implement innovative culinary ideas while respecting established brand guidelines
- Handle customer feedback professionally, addressing any concerns related to food quality or service
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment
- Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation and cooking techniques
- Demonstrable team management abilities with a focus on leadership and staff development
- Solid understanding of food safety standards and regulations
- Experience in food production management and menu development
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Strong communication skills to liaise with staff and customers confidently
- Previous restaurant experience is essential; hospitality background preferred
- Knowledge of serving procedures and customer service excellence is advantageous
