The Management Accountant will form a key part of the finance team, reporting directly to the Financial Director and collaborating with senior management. Duties of the Management Accountant:
- Prepare and manage monthly management accounts
- Maintain accurate cash flow sheets and ensure robust balance sheet control measures
- Oversee payroll processing for management and family members
- Supervise the Sales and Purchase Ledger teams, providing guidance and delegation
- Conduct intercompany reconciliations and ensure integrity of financial data
- Analyse financial reports using DMS and Microsoft Excel, producing actionable insights
- Support financial planning and contribute to strategic decision-making
- Assist in maintaining compliance with internal and external financial regulations
Requirements for the Management Accountant:
- Fully qualified Chartered or Certified Accountant
- Proven experience managing an accounts department within the automotive industry
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and delegate tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and numeracy skills
- Proficiency in computerised accounting systems, ideally DMS, with advanced skills in Excel
- Demonstrable experience in managing team members and supervising finance operations
- Ability to maintain strong financial controls and reconciliation processes
