A well-established, multisite manufacturing business is looking for a Shift Technician (Electrical Bias) to join their high performing engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a fast-paced, automated environment where reliability, safety, and continuous improvement are key.
The Role
- Provide electrical engineering support to a continuous production environment

Carry out electrical fault finding, repairs, and preventative maintenance

Work on 3-phase systems, motors, and automated machinery

Diagnose and fault find on PLCs to support production uptime

Conduct motor testing and ensure equipment reliability

Support and deliver planned maintenance (PPMs) and condition-based maintenance
-
Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and improve performance
-
Ensure all work is completed safely, following PTW and LOTO procedures
What we're looking for

Time-served Electrical Engineer / recognised apprenticeship

Strong experience in electrical fault finding within manufacturing

Proven experience working with:
- 3-phase systems

Motors and drives
-
PLC fault finding
- Experience within automated or heavy industrial environments

Ability to work independently and as part of a team on shift

Basic mechanical understanding (advantageous)
Desirable:

HNC or similar in Electrical Engineering

Basic Mechanical

Experience with SCADA / DCS systems
