Job Description
This role of Warehouse Supervisor reports to the Chief Operating Officer and Warehouse Manger and full training will be given.
The main duties include :
- Report daily to the Warehouse Manger to ensure daily and weekly plans are in place and to ensure peak efficiency at all times.
- Ensure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency — with customer satisfaction the primary goal — by supervising, organizing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing area goals
- Train and manage the team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
- Supervise daily operations in assigned area while controlling and managing inventory and logistics
- Review and prepare workflows, staffing requirements, space allocations, equipment layouts, and action plans that meet company standards for productivity, quality, and customer service. Ensuring clear & decisive communication with fellow Supervisors to meet company priorities.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations
The ideal candidate will have the confidence and experience with people management in Warehousing.
They will be enthusiastic and self-motivated and keen to work in a friendly team whilst ensuring accuracy of our orders and excellent customer service is maintained.
Training will be completed at the candidate's pace and full support will always be available. Whilst practical experience will be welcome we are really interested in the attitude of the candidate and their ability to learn and contribute to our growing business.
We are based in Tetbury, Gloucestershire and have over 88,000 sq. ft of Warehousing space where we use state of the art barcode scanning system.
