Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Breakfast Chef to join our culinary team. This is a part time position Monday through to Thursday 7.30am start approx. 11am finish.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking breakfast dishes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about food preparation and culinary arts to develop their skills within a professional setting.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast items according to recipes and presentation standards for up to 17 guest's
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area throughout shifts
- Assist with meal preparation for other service periods as required
- Monitor stock levels and notify management of supplies needed
- Serve dishes promptly and courteously to guests or staff members
- Follow all health and safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking, preferably within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Experience with meal preparation, including handling various kitchen equipment and utensils
- Familiarity with culinary techniques used in breakfast dish preparation
- Experience in serving or front-of-house roles is beneficial but not essential
