Introduction

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Driver to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery and collection of meals and goods from various locations.

Key Responsibilities
- Proper Handling and storage: This includes securely packing trays into food hot boxes.
- Reporting Issues: Drivers should promptly report any food safety concerns such as spilled food to the appropriate personnel
- Teamwork: Working Collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations
- Route Planning and Navigation: Drivers must be able to plan efficient routes, utilize navigation systems effectively, and adapt to changing traffic conditions.
- Order Accuracy: Verifying that the correct food items are in the hot boxes and delivered to the correct site this is crucial.
- Timely Deliveries: Managing time to ensure that food arrives within the required timeframes
- Loading and Unloading: Safe and Efficient loading and unloading of food.
- Vehicle Management: Performing pre and post trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation is a key responsibility, keeping the vehicle clean.
- Record Keeping: Accurate and Timely completion of daily logs and other relevant paperwork.
- Following Regulations: Adhering to all traffic laws, safety regulations and company policies.
Skills and Experience
- A valid UK driving license with a clean driving record and substantial driving experience, ideally 5 years or more.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Safe Driving
- Organisation Skills and Time Management

- Previous Knowledge of safe manual handling
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance
- Physical Stamina
Other Considerations:
This role is working 20 hours per week, over 5 days, including weekends.
Working Conditions: The role requires standing, walking, and moving for extended periods during shifts.
Please note: This role requires a fixed working pattern of more than 20 hours per week. Due to legal working hour restrictions, we are unable to consider applicants who are not permitted to work these hours under UK immigration rules.
