CQMS Ltd is an established health and safety consultancy, founded in 1994 and based in Grantham, Lincolnshire. We provide expert support to organisations across the UK.
Our Safety-Scheme department supports suppliers with completing Health & Safety (H&S) assessments, ensuring compliance with UK legislation and industry standards.
The Role
We are looking for a proactive and organised individual to join our Safety-Scheme team. In this role, you will support both CQMS clients and their suppliers, helping to ensure that appropriate SSIP certification is in place and that records remain accurate, up to date, and accessible 24/7.
Key Responsibilities
- Adding new suppliers to the Safety-Scheme portal
- Reviewing documentation submitted by suppliers in line with CQMS procedures and client requirements
- Updating internal databases to reflect documentation reviews and status changes
- Contacting suppliers (via telephone, email, or written communication) to request updates or amendments
- Acting as the first point of contact for supplier queries
- Liaising with clients and suppliers at all levels to ensure smooth communication
- Requesting and managing supplier payments
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records on the Safety-Scheme portal
- Working closely with the CDM Director to manage workload and seek support when required
- Following departmental processes and ensuring compliance with internal standards
Knowledge & Compliance
- Understanding (or willingness to learn) SSIP Rules and Bylaws
- Awareness of ISO 9001 and ISO 17020 standards as they relate to the role
Skills & Experience
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, including a professional and confident telephone manner
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable liaising with a range of stakeholders
- Previous office-based experience is desirable, but not essential
