We are seeking a dedicated and skilled team member to join our team as we start a new permanent residence at Boxhall City on Liverpool Street. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment alongside our team. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, assisting our head chef.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all customers
- Assist in meal preparation for special events or large parties as required
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service during peak hours
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to management
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant setting
- Strong culinary skills with the ability to follow recipes accurately
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Previous kitchen experience is highly desirable, with an understanding of various cooking techniques
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues
- A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn new techniques and dishes

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £14 an hour. Hours would be 10-3PM Monday to Friday with some weekend work available if wanted.
