Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in a their own home, assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. Your ability to communicate effectively and follow care plans will be vital in delivering high-quality care to our residents.
Duties
- Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding, catering to specific dietary needs as outlined in care plans.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to the nursing staff.
- Engage residents in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.
- Drive residents to appointments or activities when necessary, ensuring safe transportation.
- Collaborate with other team members to create and implement effective care plans tailored to each individual's needs.
- Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness within the care environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a domiciliary care is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
- Basic maths and IT skills are advantageous for maintaining records and accessing care plans.
- A full valid driving licence and own car is essential for travelling between your care calls.
- A DBS check is required
