Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food preparation and service
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food production, cooking, and presentation
- Ensure all dishes meet high standards of quality, taste, and visual appeal
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control waste effectively
- Train and mentor junior staff to enhance their culinary skills and knowledge
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
- Monitor kitchen equipment maintenance and cleanliness to uphold health standards
- Assist in creating a positive working environment that promotes teamwork and professionalism
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef with a strong background in food production and kitchen management
- Supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
- Extensive culinary skills with a focus on food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
- Leadership qualities with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Previous restaurant experience is essential; hospitality background highly desirable
