Insurance Manager!
Magnus Search are looking for an Insurance Manager to work for an organisation based in Torbay.
This is a fantastic opportunity and Full Time on a 3-month interim basis where you will be working, Monday – Friday 37 hours per week, earning £20.29 per hour
As an Insurance Manager your Key Responsibilities will be to:
- Manage the organisation’s insurance portfolio and internal fund
- Provide advice on insurance cover, risk, and liability
- Investigate and manage claims, negotiating settlements
- Liaise with insurers, brokers, and legal representatives
- Lead insurance renewals and procurement processes
- Analyse data to support risk management strategies
- Deliver training and guidance to departments
The successful candidate will have:
- A background in insurance (insurer or broker)
- Experience managing insurance for a large organisation
- Strong knowledge of policies and claims handling
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
- The ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Degree-level education or equivalent
Desirable: Public sector experience, risk management knowledge, and professional memberships (e.g. CIPFA, ALARM)
