We're looking for experienced Shift Engineers to join our team at our Crawley depot. Working a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern from 6am to 6pm, you'll be responsible for maintaining a fleet of public service vehicles to company and DVSA standards while keeping vehicles on the road and running reliably.
Shift pattern: 4 on, 4 off — 6am to 6pm
Key duties:
- Respond to on-road breakdowns and carry out running repairs
- Use diagnostic equipment and workshop systems to identify and record faults
- Carry out routine maintenance, inspections and repairs on PSV vehicles
- Maximise vehicle availability and minimise downtime
- Maintain strong communication across all departments including contractors and breakdown teams
- Adhere to company policies and Health & Safety regulations
You will need:
- Full UK manual driving licence — PCV desirable or willingness to work towards one
- NVQ Level 3 PSV or HGV engineering qualification — IRTEC accreditation preferred
- Experience with large passenger or commercial vehicles
- Flexible approach to shift working
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Able to work independently and take ownership of your work
Pay: £53,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
