Lost in the Lanes are looking for an inspiring and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and help shape the next chapter.
ABOUT Lost in the Lanes
Lost in the Lanes is an independent, family-owned restaurant in the heart of Brighton. We are passionate about creating memorable experiences through exceptional food, genuine hospitality and meaningful human connection.
We believe that great restaurants are built by great people. Kindness, respect, creativity and teamwork sit at the heart of everything we do. We work hard, support one another, celebrate individuality and strive to create an environment where people can grow professionally while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Our food is ingredient-led, seasonal and thoughtful. We create contemporary dishes that feel familiar yet exciting — elevated comfort food that consistently exceeds expectations and reflects the unique character of LOST
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines culinary excellence, team development, operational management and creative collaboration. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality and consistency while fostering a positive, supportive and ambitious kitchen culture.
Working closely with the owner, management team and front-of-house leaders, the Head Chef will play a key role in developing menus, driving profitability, nurturing talent and helping the business grow.
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who leads with integrity, kindness and passion — someone who understands that the success of a restaurant depends as much on its people as it does on its food.
