We are looking for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join our friendly team in our small, cosy village pub. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in preparing fresh, high-quality food and enjoys working in a busy, professional kitchen.
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef in a pub or restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of fresh food preparation and British cuisine.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- A positive attitude and team-focused approach.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP procedures.
Your responsibilities:
- Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes to a consistently high standard.
- Help develop seasonal menus and daily specials.
- Maintain excellent food safety, cleanliness and stock control.
- Lead the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence.
