Job Title: Clinical Negligence Solicitor

The Opportunity
We’re working with a well-established and growing law firm that is looking to appoint an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor or Legal Executive (CILEX with higher rights) to join their expanding team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced clinical negligence fee earner who is confident managing their own caseload and is looking for genuine flexibility with a fully remote working model, without compromising on the quality of work or support.
The Role
You will handle a varied and often complex caseload of claimant clinical negligence matters, managing files from initial instruction through to settlement or trial.
This role would suit someone who is technically strong, highly organised, and passionate about delivering excellent client care.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a full caseload of clinical negligence claims from inception to conclusion
- Drafting Letters of Claim and reviewing Letters of Response
- Reviewing and analysing medical records
- Preparing detailed case chronologies
- Instructing and liaising with medical experts and counsel
- Drafting witness statements and court documentation
- Advising clients on funding options including CFAs (Conditional Fee Agreements) and ATE (After the Event) insurance
- Conducting negotiations with defendants and insurers to achieve the best possible outcomes
- Maintaining regular client contact and delivering high levels of client care
About You
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience handling claimant clinical negligence files independently
- Strong understanding of pre-action protocols and litigation

Working Arrangements
This is a fully remote position, with your primary place of work being your home address.
On occasion, you may be asked to attend the office in Gloucestershire for training, meetings, or team events. Any such requirement will be infrequent and reasonable notice will always be provided.
