Join our team as a Customer Service Representative for a 3-month contract with a local authority in Swindon. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality customer service through the Council’s inbound contact centre. You will play a crucial role in promoting a digital-first approach, guiding residents to access a wide range of services online while ensuring all inquiries are managed efficiently and professionally.

Handle inbound calls from residents, providing accurate and timely information.

Deliver a professional, friendly, and customer-focused service at all times.

Understand customer needs and provide appropriate solutions or guidance.

Encourage and support customers to access services online.

Promote digital self-service options to improve accessibility and efficiency.

Assist customers in navigating online systems and information.

Previous experience in a customer service or contact centre environment (desirable).

Experience handling inbound calls and dealing with customer inquiries.

Experience supporting customers with digital or online services (desirable).

GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths.

Relevant customer service qualifications (desirable).

Working hours: 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.

Work arrangement: 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, with mandatory office presence on Tuesdays for team office day.

Interviews will be conducted in person at Civic Offices, Euclid Street, Swindon.
