The Crown & Anchor in Lugwardine is under new management, and with a fresh vision has seen a significant increase in trade. As we continue to grow, we are expanding our catering team and are now seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will bring strong kitchen expertise, a genuine passion for food, and a commitment to maintaining high standards within a professional team environment.
Hours of Work
- Monday to Sunday (varied shifts)
- Two days off per week
- Mix of split and straight shifts (approximately 10:00am – 10:00pm)
- Opportunities for additional hours
Please note: We currently serve food Wednesday to Sunday, with plans to expand to seven days a week in the near future.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes in line with the current menu
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness
- Ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations
- Support consistency and quality across all service periods
- Contribute to a positive and professional kitchen culture
Experience & Skills Required
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a professional kitchen
- Strong background in food preparation and service
- Solid knowledge of food safety regulations
- Experience in high-volume service environments
- Excellent organisational and teamwork skills
- Passion for food and continuous improvement
