We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team with busy work in the Edinburgh area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various sites. Duties
- Install, inspect, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with safety standards and regulations
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using hand tools and power tools to identify faults and implement effective solutions
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspections and repairs
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers to ensure timely completion of projects
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on electrical systems to prevent potential failures
- Ensure all work complies with current electrical codes and safety regulations
- Assist in the planning and layout of electrical systems for new installations or upgrades
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrician with a solid understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols
- SVQ Level 3; 18th edition wiring regulations; 2391 or equivalent; Ecs gold card
- Experience operating power tools including drills, saws, and conduit bippers
- Strong electrical experience with the ability to read technical diagrams and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team
- Valid UK driving licence is essential
