Hours: Monday - Thursday: 7:30am - 3:30pm (30-minute unpaid lunch) | Friday: 7:30am - 1:00pm

The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Electrician to take ownership of electrical compliance and inspection activities across a large manufacturing site.
This role is ideally suited to someone with a strong background in commercial or industrial electrical installations who has progressed into testing, inspection and compliance-focused work. You will act as the site's electrical technical authority, ensuring electrical systems remain safe, compliant and fit for purpose while leading improvement projects and supporting the wider maintenance function.
Key Responsibilities

Manage electrical compliance across the site, ensuring all statutory and regulatory requirements are met.

Maintain and manage the Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) programme.

Plan, coordinate and oversee electrical inspection and testing activities.

Identify, prioritise and manage remedial electrical works.

Provide technical leadership and guidance to site electricians.

Supervise and manage external electrical contractors.

Lead electrical improvement projects, upgrades and installations.

Maintain accurate compliance records, reports and documentation.

Support the development and implementation of safe systems of work.

Act as the site's electrical technical authority and key point of contact for electrical compliance matters.

Ensure all work is completed in line with current regulations and company standards.
Candidate Requirements
Essential
-
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent recognised electrical qualification).

City & Guilds 2391-52 (or equivalent Inspection & Testing qualification).

Current BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations qualification.

Strong experience within commercial or industrial electrical environments.

Proven experience carrying out electrical inspection and testing, including EICRs.

Ability to interpret and understand electrical drawings and circuit diagrams.

Experience planning and coordinating electrical works safely and effectively.

Strong understanding of electrical compliance and regulatory requirements.
Desirable
-
Previous experience in a Senior Electrician, Lead Electrician or Supervisory position.

HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or similar qualification.

IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent health and safety qualification.

Experience working within manufacturing, production or industrial facilities.
