Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
- Oversee specific sections of the kitchen, ensuring consistency and efficiency in meal preparation
- Assist in the organisation and management of kitchen supplies, ingredients, and equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional dining experiences for guests
- Monitor food presentation and ensure dishes are served promptly and attractively
- Support junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as required
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly within a professional kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with high-volume service settings
- Experience in serving or assisting front-of-house staff is advantageous but not essential
- A background in culinary arts or relevant training certifications will be considered an asset
