About the Role
Stilwell Singleton Solicitors is seeking an organised and professional Secretary to join our busy Private Client Department.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal secretary to provide high-quality administrative and secretarial support to our fee earners, ensuring the smooth and efficient management of client matters.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage a varied workload in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing secretarial and administrative support to Private Client fee earners.
- Audio and copy typing of legal documents and correspondence.
- Preparing legal documentation relating to Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Probate, and Trust matters.
- Opening and closing client files.
- Maintaining accurate client records and filing systems.
- Liaising with clients, courts, financial institutions, and other professional bodies.
- Managing diaries, arranging appointments, and handling telephone enquiries.
- Supporting matter management through LEAP Case Management Software.
- Undertaking general administration duties as required.
Skills & Experience
- Previous legal secretary experience, ideally within a Private Client department.
- Excellent typing and IT skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Professional and confident telephone manner.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable
- Experience using LEAP Case Management Software.
- Knowledge of Private Client matters including Wills, Probate, Trusts, and Powers of Attorney.
Pay: From £24,500.00 per year
