Job Title: Shovel / Telehandler Driver

About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Shovel / Telehandler Driver to join our team at a busy plastic recycling facility in Stallingborough. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced recycling operation, responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the site.
Working Hours
This position operates on an alternating shift pattern:
- Week 1: 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM (Afternoon Shift)
- Week 2: 2:00 PM – 4:00 AM
- Alternating weekly rotation
Flexibility to work additional hours when required is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating loading shovels and telehandlers safely and efficiently.
- Loading and unloading plastic recycling materials.
- Feeding processing machinery with recyclable materials.
- Moving stock and finished products around the site.
- Conducting daily vehicle inspections and reporting defects.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
- Adhering to all site health and safety procedures.
- Assisting with general yard and recycling operations as required.
Requirements
- Valid Loading Shovel and/or Telehandler licence/certificate.
- Previous experience operating heavy plant machinery in an industrial, recycling, waste management, or manufacturing environment.
- Good awareness of health and safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards.
- Own transport is preferred due to shift hours and site location.
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience within a recycling or waste management facility.
- Counterbalance forklift licence (advantageous but not essential).
- Experience working rotating shift patterns.
