Full Time – Salary From £17.00 per Hour Depending on Experience
Full training offered to Comply with our UKCA FPC Welding Procedures, with operational knowledge of MIG Welding, you must be able to use a variety of tools and equipment in a Fabrication Workshop. Basic Math Skills and mechanical aptitude. Ability to read Fabrication Drawings and hold a Full Driving License.
Full Job Description
We are looking for a Skilled Fabricator Welder to cut and weld mild steel for Structural Steel projects, including Flats, Angles, Universal Columns and Beams. You will operate appropriate equipment to put together the structures or parts with good precision. You must be able to read drawings, taking off measurements to plan layout and procedures. You will be responsible for determining the appropriate welding equipment or method to be used based on requirements and setting up components for welding according to specifications. You will be required to take training to drive our Forklift Truck and unload steel delivery lorries on our site.
- Essential Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a welder.
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures for MIG welding.
- Experience in using heavy equipment, overhead crane, Saw, Guillotine use of electrical or manual tools such as grinders, calipers & squares.
- Ability to read and interpret Fabrication Drawings produced for the Workshop.Drive the Forklift Truck to unload steel lorries on our site, training will be provided.
- Be able to manage time and have organization skills.
- Be self-motivated and confident to work on your own initiative.
- Committed to help to meet deadlines and targets and to be punctual.
- Communication Skills and always be Health and Safety conscious.
