We’re looking for someone who loves cooking and cares about people to join our team.
We are seeking an experienced and confident Cook (or a skilled home cook) to assist and lead in ensuring our kitchen consistently delivers nutritious and delicious meals for our elderly residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a genuine interest in catering to the dietary needs and preferences of elderly individuals, including vegetarians and those requiring gluten‑free options.
You will be responsible for:
- Preparing high‑quality meals with creativity and care
- Supporting kitchen staff
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and well‑organised kitchen environment
- Ensuring meals meet nutritional standards while remaining enjoyable and varied
A confident home cook with strong organisational skills and a commitment to resident wellbeing will thrive in this role.

What We Offer
- Be part of a supportive kitchen team of 2 Cooks and 1 Kitchen Manager/Cook
- Work on a rolling 3‑week rota that keeps your schedule balanced and predictable
- 24.5 contracted hours per week
- Enjoy a fair rotation, working every 3rd weekend
Shift Patterns
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 am – 2:00 pm or 2:00 pm – 6:30 pm
- Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 am – 6:30 pm
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £13.50 per hour
