Job Overview
We are a small family company in central Sheffield seeking a hard-working, dilligent Tobacco Processing Worker to join our busy manufacturing team. This role involves the safe and efficient processing of tobacco products in a fast-paced factory environment. The successful candidate will play a vital part in maintaining high standards of safety and product quality. This position offers in-job training for various roles within tobacco production. Applicants must have good time-keeping and absolute attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor machinery used in tobacco processing, ensuring smooth and efficient production flow
- Identifying and reporting any mechanical issues promptly
- Maintain product integrity and compliance
- Assist with the preparation, handling, and packaging of tobacco products according to company standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Record production data accurately using basic maths skills for inventory and quality control purposes
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by adhering to operational procedures and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Previous experience or knowledge of processing environments is not essential
- Aptitude for operating industrial machinery is desirable
- Competent in basic maths for measurements, calculations, and record keeping
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team within a busy manufacturing setting
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards
- Excellent time-keeping and a proactive approach to learning new skills essential

Pay: £12.71-£15.00 per hour
