The Nest Nursery are look for a nursery bank staff practitioner to join our team.
These are exciting times and exciting opportunities for passionate childcare practitioners to join us working with children 0-5 years. We love those who are committed to focusing on the well-being of children and who can inspire and motivate them.
We are looking for a candidate who is able to work flexible shifts, Monday - Friday between 8am – 6pm, shift patterns can we worked around you also e.g 8am-1pm, 1pm-6pm.
1. To provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children place in the setting.
2. To give support to their staff within the setting
3. To work as part of a team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, develop and learn.
4. To build and maintain strong partnership working with parents to enable children’s needs to be met.
Responsible to:
Nursery Manager/Deputy, Room Leader
Main Duties:
1. Support all staff and engage in a good staff team.
2. To develop and maintain strong partnerships and communication with parents/carers to facilitate day-to-day care.
3. To ensure the provision of a high-quality environment to meet the needs of individual children having an awareness of any disabilities, family cultures and medical histories to uphold the principles of equality and inclusion
4. To advise appropriate person (Manager, EYT, SENCO, DSL) of any concerns e.g. over children, parents, the safety of the environment, preserving confidentiality as necessary.
5. To be involved in out of working hours activities e.g. training, monthly staff meetings etc.
6. To be flexible within working practices of the setting, undertaking other responsible duties where needed, such as domestic tasks, preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment, etc.
7. To work alongside the manager and staff team to ensure that the setting’s Ethos is fulfilled.
8. To read, understand and adhere to all policies and procedures relevant to your role and the safe running of the setting.
9. To keep completely confidential any information regarding the children, their families or other staff that is acquired as part of the job.
10. To be aware of the profile of the setting and to uphold its standards always, both in work hours and outside.
11. To support other nursery assistants, students and volunteers.
12. To ensure good standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness are always maintained.
13. Comply with company policy and procedure
Qualifications:
Level 2 childcare (preferred)
Level 3 childcare (preferred)
Unqualified candidates will be accepted with the correct checks and experience.
This position will be subject to a successful DBS check
