We're looking for experienced Venue Managers to oversee merchandise operations at one of the major venues during the Commonwealth Games.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering retail operations at one of the world's premier multi-sport events. Each Venue Manager will be responsible for a large venue containing multiple official merchandise units, ensuring every outlet operates safely, efficiently and delivers an exceptional customer experience throughout the Games.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on operational management role best suited to someone with significant retail management experience, ideally combined with a background in live events, festivals or major sporting events.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all merchandise operations across your assigned venue.
- Attend daily venue operational briefings and represent the merchandise operation within the wider venue management team.
- Communicate key operational updates and implement any required changes throughout the day.
- Oversee the daily set-up and opening of multiple merchandise units.
- Manage stock levels, replenishment and stock movements across all retail locations.
- Troubleshoot operational issues to ensure all units remain fully operational throughout trading.
- Oversee PDQ/payment systems and liaise with support teams to resolve any issues quickly.
- Support, coach and manage Team Leaders across your venue.
- Ensure all health & safety procedures and operational standards are maintained.
- Coordinate daily close-down procedures, cash reconciliation processes and secure stock storage.
- Work closely with the wider event management team to deliver an outstanding retail operation.
Requirements:
- Experience managing retail operations.
- Experience leading large teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- The confidence to make operational decisions independently.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
- A calm, professional approach under pressure.
- Previous experience within events, festivals or major sporting events is highly desirable.
