Due to continued growth, we are seeking a practical and motivated Production Engineer - Electrical Bias to join our manufacturing team.
The Role
This is a hands-on manufacturing role involving assembly, wiring, testing and commissioning of specialist equipment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Mechanical assembly of equipment and engineered products.
- Electrical wiring, soldering and basic fault finding.
- Working from technical drawings, wiring diagrams and assembly instructions.
- Using hand and power tools to complete production tasks.
- Supporting testing, inspection and final commissioning activities.
- Carrying out drilling, fitting, alignment and minor fabrication work where required.
- Maintaining high standards of quality, workmanship and safety.
- Assisting with continuous improvement of products and manufacturing processes.
- Working closely with colleagues to achieve production objectives.
- Assist in preparing product specifications, technical documentation and component lists for new and existing products.
- Support prototype assembly, testing and validation to ensure product performance and manufacturability.
Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Experience within a manufacturing, assembly, production or engineering environment.
- Good mechanical assembly skills.
- Electrical wiring experience and understanding of electrical components.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Desirable:
- Electro-mechanical assembly experience.
- Control panel wiring experience.
- Experience with industrial equipment or machinery.
- Basic fabrication or metalworking experience.
- Experience with testing and commissioning activities.
