SYREX is looking for reliable Construction Site Cleaning Operatives to support our work on construction sites across London.
This role is for non-specialist construction site cleaning. You will help keep site areas clean, safe and tidy, working to site rules, RAMS, COSHH controls and supervisor instructions.
You must be reliable, safety-conscious and comfortable working in a live construction environment.
Main duties
- General site cleaning duties
- Cleaning welfare areas, offices, walkways and agreed work areas
- Keeping access routes clear and tidy
- Removing general waste to designated waste areas
- Using wet floor signs, barriers and warning controls where needed
- Using approved cleaning products and equipment safely
- Following COSHH assessments and Safety Data Sheet instructions
- Reporting hazards, spillages, damaged equipment and near misses
- Working safely around other trades, plant and site traffic
- Following site induction, RAMS and toolbox talk instructions
Required experience and qualifications
- Previous cleaning experience
- Experience working on construction sites preferred
- Valid CSCS card preferred
- COSHH awareness preferred
- Manual handling awareness preferred
- Good understanding of site safety and housekeeping
- Able to follow RAMS, site rules and supervisor instructions
- Reliable, punctual and professional
You must be able to
- Attend site induction before starting work
- Wear required PPE at all times
- Follow safe access and egress routes
- Use cleaning equipment safely
- Work without blocking fire routes, walkways or work areas
- Report unsafe conditions immediately
- Work as part of a team and follow site instructions
