No.14 Café & Restaurant is looking for an experienced Sous Chef to help lead our kitchen team in Witney. We are a well-established independent café and restaurant, known for great hospitality, quality food and a supportive, people-first culture.
This is a daytime-focused role offering genuine work-life balance in a growing business.
Job Details
- Salary: £28,500 per annum
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Working Pattern: 4 days per week
- Shift Times: 7:00am – 5:00pm
- Weekends: 1 flexible weekend off in every 3
- Holidays: Christmas Day to New Year’s Eve off
- Location: Witney, Oxfordshire

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Ensure the kitchen is fully prepped for service and properly closed each day
- Manage, train and develop the kitchen team
- Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene and presentation
- Work closely with the owner to create and develop menus
- Manage stock, ordering, food costs and waste
About You
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or senior kitchen leader
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Passion for quality, accessible food
- Confident managing food safety and allergen standards
- Reliable, calm and hands-on approach
