Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will support dentists during procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain the highest standards of hygiene and organisation within the clinic. Mon 8:30-5:30
Tues 8:30-5:30
Thurs 8:30-5:30
Fri 1:30-5:30
Sat 9:30-1
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort.
- Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and materials prior to appointments.
- Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment advice, ensuring they understand care instructions.
- Maintain strict hygiene standards by sterilising instruments and ensuring clinical areas are clean and organised.
- Record patient details accurately using IT systems, updating records as required.
- Support patients throughout their visit, offering reassurance and addressing any concerns with excellent communication skills.
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently, ensuring timely patient flow and minimising waiting times.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, including infection control protocols.
Skills
- Proven experience in patient care within a dental or healthcare setting is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- Good IT skills for maintaining accurate digital records and using practice management software.
- Knowledge of nursing principles relevant to dental care, including sterilisation procedures.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a caring attitude towards patients.
- Professionalism, reliability, and a genuine interest in providing high-quality patient care are essential qualities for success in this role.
Pay: From £13.50 per hour
