Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring a smooth and efficient service experience. This role involves assessing customer needs, recommending appropriate services, and maintaining excellent communication throughout the repair process. A strong understanding of vehicle mechanics and exceptional customer service skills are essential to succeed in this position.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and establish a professional rapport to understand their vehicle concerns.
- Assess vehicle issues through effective communication with customers and technicians.
- Provide accurate estimates for repairs and services, including upselling additional maintenance when appropriate.
- Coordinate with the workshop team to schedule repairs and ensure timely completion of work.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain proper records of all financial dealings.
- Keep customers informed about the progress of their vehicle repairs or services, managing expectations effectively.
- Promote additional services or products that meet customer needs, maximising sales opportunities through upselling techniques.
- Ensure all customer interactions are documented clearly in the system for future reference.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Mechanical knowledge or understanding of vehicle systems is highly desirable to explain repairs effectively.
- Proven ability in upselling products or services without being pushy, enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Cash handling experience with accuracy in processing payments and managing receipts.
- Organised with excellent attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a friendly demeanour.
