About Us
ACLUXUS is a UK-based B2B trading company specialising in the sourcing, verification and international export of prestige Swiss timepieces. We acquire inventory through the UK authorised retail network and supply professional overseas trade buyers across the Asia-Pacific region.
As trading activity continues to develop, we are now looking for a Purchasing Manager to lead and scale our procurement operation.
The Role
We are looking for a Purchasing Manager to take day-to-day responsibility for the Company's procurement function — from sourcing strategy through to supplier management, stock verification, documentation and export coordination.
This is a hands-on role at the centre of a fast-growing trading operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the Company's procurement strategy for prestige Swiss timepieces, identifying in-demand references based on market analysis, supply availability and pricing trends.
- Manage purchasing activity across the UK authorised retail network, maintaining diversified sourcing across multiple channels to ensure supply continuity and pricing discipline.
- Conduct physical verification of every acquired timepiece: reference number check, serial number cross-check against proof of purchase and warranty documentation, full-set completeness confirmation, and photographic record.
- Prepare and maintain complete transaction documentation for each acquisition, including UK proof of purchase, manufacturer warranty records, commercial invoices and export paperwork.
- Coordinate with the Company's logistics partners for secure international dispatch via accredited high-value courier services.
- Support the Company's AML and compliance procedures, including counterparty screening (OFSI, OFAC, EU sanctions lists, PEP screening) and transaction record-keeping in line with MLR 2017.
- Coordinate HMRC CDS export declarations, HS classification and EORI documentation for international shipments.
- Liaise directly with professional overseas trade clients to confirm specifications, pricing and delivery arrangements.
- Monitor market pricing, secondary-market trends and supply dynamics to inform purchasing decisions.
- Maintain the Company's supplier records, procurement logs and six-year document retention archive.
- Contribute to the Company's planned expansion into adjacent prestige Swiss brands and new regional markets.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in purchasing, procurement or trading within the luxury goods, watch or jewellery sector.
- Strong knowledge of prestige Swiss timepiece brands, references and market dynamics.
- Excellent attention to detail — this role involves physical product verification, serial number cross-checking and documentation management on every transaction.
- Professional-level fluency in English (essential for UK supplier liaison, documentation, export compliance and regulatory communication).
- Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is highly desirable, as the Company's principal client base is in the Asia-Pacific region.
- Familiarity with UK export procedures (CDS, EORI, HS classification) is an advantage.
- Understanding of AML, KYC and sanctions screening obligations relevant to high-value goods trading is an advantage.
- Self-starter who thrives in a small, fast-paced team environment.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom. This role is eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route for suitably qualified candidates.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary of £41,700 – £55,000, depending on experience and sponsorship eligibility.
- Opportunity to shape and lead the procurement function of a high-growth UK trading business.
- Exposure to international luxury markets across Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Europe.
- A role with direct input into commercial strategy and business development.
- Workplace pension and 25 days' annual leave plus public holidays.
