Job Summary
We are a friendly 2 partner training practice looking to recruit a part-time Receptionist/Administrator working 31 hours per week . Monday - Friday. During core hours 8.00 - 6.30
This post covers a wide range of reception/admin duties - answering the telephones, booking appointments, greeting patients, dealing with general queries . The successful applicant will need to have excellent customer service and IT skills , always putting people first and able to work under minimal supervision. It is a busy role which requires a flexible approach; you will need to be able to work using your own initiative and as part of a team.
Main duties of the job :- To answer the telephone promptly and deal with enquiries in a helpful and courteous manner. Effectively signpost patients to services appropriate to their needs. Booking, cancelling, and amending patients appointments by using EMIS Web clinical software, dealing with queries via telephone, email, and face to face interactions with clinicians, patients and third parties and project a positive and friendly image to patients and visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
Process requests for repeat prescriptions received and deal with queries relating to prescriptions. Dealing with requests for test results and register new patients living within our catchment area. Open post, scanning and processing of the clinical correspondence received into surgery.
Experienced preferred but training can be given.
