Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles using schematics and technical manuals
- Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, and other vehicle systems
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to carry out assembly, repairs, and modifications
- Interpret technical diagrams and schematics to identify issues accurately
- Carry out equipment repair and preventative maintenance tasks to minimise downtime
- Assist with heavy lifting of vehicle components safely and efficiently
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed for each vehicle
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company standards
Experience
- Proven experience in vehicle repair or maintenance within an automotive or similar environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical manuals
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for various repair tasks
- Experience in assembly, equipment repair, and general maintenance work is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repair processes
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Prior experience providing quality customer service is advantageous
