Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Baby Room Leader & Deputy to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for infants, supporting the nursery's daily operations, and assisting in the development of young children. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the baby room team, ensuring high standards of care and education are maintained at all times.

- Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote developmental milestones.
- Foster a warm, caring environment where infants feel secure and valued.
- Monitor and record children's progress, behaviour, and health needs, ensuring accurate documentation is maintained.
- Assist in organising daily routines including feeding, nappy changing, playtime, and sleep schedules.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding their child's development and daily experiences.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the nursery setting.
- Support the nursery manager in administrative tasks and staff management as required.
- Act as Deputy in the absence of the Nursery Manager, taking responsibility for overall nursery operations.
- Maintain a professional attitude at all times, demonstrating excellent communication skills with colleagues, children, and families.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood setting, particularly with infants.
- Relevant childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent recognised certification.
- Demonstrable management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team.
- Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and childcare best practices.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to organise tasks efficiently whilst maintaining flexibility to adapt to changing needs within the nursery environment.
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or attending external activities but not essential.

Pay: £28,500.00 per year
