Our client, a nationally recognised leader in Healthcare Integration since 2007, is seeking a motivated and proactive Support & Training Specialist to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting GP surgeries, Primary Care Networks (PCNs), and other healthcare organisations to successfully implement and maximise the benefits of the company's solutions.
This role is ideal for someone with NHS experience, particularly within GP practices or Primary Care, who enjoys working with people, delivering training, solving problems, and driving successful user adoption. You will be at the forefront of helping healthcare professionals embrace technology that improves patient care and operational efficiency.
What You'll Be Doing
Helpdesk Support
- Provide first-line support to NHS users via telephone and email
- Troubleshoot issues relating to Gateway usage, access and user enquiries
- Log, track and resolve support tickets in a timely and professional manner
- Escalate technical issues to the Development or Technical Support teams where required
- Maintain clear, professional and customer-focused communication with practice staff and healthcare users
Training Delivery
- Deliver structured and engaging training sessions to:
- GP Practice Administrators and Secretaries
- Clinicians, including GPs, Nurses and Allied Health Professionals (AHPs)
- Facilitate remote training sessions via Microsoft Teams and occasional on-site training where required
- Adapt training styles and delivery methods to suit different audiences and learning needs
- Support onboarding clinics, refresher sessions and drop-in training workshops
Onboarding & Implementation
- Support new GP practices and healthcare organisations through the Gateway onboarding process
- Guide users through registration, access setup and initial platform use
- Build user confidence and ensure successful adoption of the platform within live healthcare workflows
- Work closely with internal teams to coordinate successful implementations and rollouts
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain and update user guides, training materials and support documentation
- Identify recurring issues and provide feedback to the Product and Development teams
- Contribute to FAQs, knowledge base articles, videos and onboarding resources
- Follow internal procedures and maintain accurate records of all user interactions
- Complete mandatory Information Governance and compliance training
What We're Looking For
Essential
- NHS experience, ideally within GP surgeries, Primary Care Networks or other Primary Care environments
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience delivering training, coaching or supporting users in a professional environment
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn new systems and processes
- Confidence using digital systems and healthcare applications
- Calm and professional approach when supporting users and resolving issues
- Must have the right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available)
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
Desirable
- Experience of using or implementing Accenda Gateway
- Experience of using NHS e-Referral Service (eRS)
- Experience supporting software implementations, onboarding projects or system rollouts
- Previous experience within healthcare technology, digital transformation or NHS IT environments
- Experience delivering face-to-face and virtual training sessions
