About the Role
We're looking for a confident, energetic and engaging Performer to join our team at Imagine That! Wigan.
This role is all about bringing our attraction to life through interactive workshops, live demonstrations and entertaining science shows. You'll be responsible for delivering experiences that captivate children and families, creating memorable moments that are both fun and educational.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable performing in front of large audiences, commanding a theatre space independently, and adapting their presentation style to engage guests of all ages.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering engaging slime-making workshops, bath bomb workshops and other hands-on activities
- Presenting live science shows and demonstrations to audiences of varying sizes
- Hosting and managing theatre sessions independently
- Encouraging audience participation and creating an exciting atmosphere
- Ensuring activities are delivered safely and consistently
- Setting up and preparing materials for workshops and performances
- Maintaining high standards of presentation, energy and professionalism
- Supporting special events, school visits and birthday parties when required
- Assisting with general visitor engagement throughout the attraction
Essential Requirements
- Confident public speaking and presentation skills
- Ability to command and engage an audience independently
- Outgoing, enthusiastic and energetic personality
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to think on your feet and adapt to different audiences
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, family-focused environment
- Availability to work weekends, school holidays and peak periods
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience in performance, theatre, entertainment, education or visitor attractions
- Experience delivering workshops, demonstrations or presentations
- Experience working with children and families
- First Aid qualification
No science experience is required - scripts and training will be provided.
