Carpenter / Multi-Trade Operative

Collinssons LTD is looking for an experienced and reliable Carpenter / Multi-Trade Operative to join our growing team working on a Wiltshire Council void property contract.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out renovation and refurbishment works to empty properties, preparing them for new tenants. We are looking for someone who can work independently, maintain high standards of workmanship, and take pride in delivering quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
- General carpentry including door hanging, replacement of work tops, kitchen units etc.
- Basic plumbing works including replacing baths, toilets, sinks, and associated fittings
- Installation of vinyl flooring (tiles and single-sheet vinyl)
- Floor preparation and latex screeding
- Internal and external decoration
- Basic plastering and patch repairs
- Garden clearance and external maintenance
- General property refurbishment and maintenance tasks
Requirements:
- Strong carpentry background
- Experience across multiple trades within domestic property maintenance
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Full UK driving licence
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Reliable, professional, and customer-focused
While not all trade skills listed above are essential, a good all-round knowledge of property maintenance and refurbishment would be highly advantageous.
Job Types: Full-time, Self-employed
Pay: £19.00-£27.00 per hour
