Customer Sales Assistant - Immediate Start
Turn your people skills into purpose.
Are you a confident communicator who thrives in fast-paced environments? Do you love meeting new people and want a role where your efforts have a genuine impact?
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Customer Sales Assistant to represent leading UK charities in face-to-face campaigns across Edinburgh. Whether you're starting out or bringing experience, this is your chance to launch a fulfilling career in customer service and sales—while helping make the world a better place.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Customer Sales Assistant, your role will centre on engaging directly with the public to promote and generate support for some of the UK’s most respected charities. You’ll be working in various high-footfall locations across Edinburgh—including residential areas, shopping centres, train stations, high streets, and events.
Your typical day will include:
- Approaching and engaging with members of the public in a confident, friendly, and professional manner
- Starting genuine conversations about the important causes you’re representing
- Explaining the charity’s mission and current campaigns, answering questions clearly and with empathy
- Inspiring people to sign up as regular supporters, helping them see how their contribution will make a real-world impact
- Maintaining accurate records of supporter details and donations using a digital tablet
- Delivering excellent customer service, ensuring every interaction is positive—even when people choose not to donate
- Meeting and exceeding daily and weekly performance targets, with clear guidance and support
- Participating in daily team briefings, where you'll share goals, successes, and encouragement
- Learning and developing new skills, including communication, persuasion, emotional intelligence, and ethical selling
You'll work as part of a supportive, fun, and target-driven team. Every day brings a new location, new people to meet, and new opportunities to make a difference—no two days are the same.
This isn’t just sales—it’s about connection, compassion, and making a real difference.
