Event Manager - UKREiiF
BEN (Built Environment Networking, our trading name) is a leading events management provider to the UK Real Estate industry. Its annual flagship event is UKREiiF, www.ukreiif.com
The business is growing rapidly and is now looking for an experienced Event Manager to play a key role in the Operations team.
The role is extremely varied and busy, and you will be instrumental in the overall successful delivery of the UKREiiF event plan.
Working hours are full-time, based at our offices near Leeds and occasional remote working on agreed days during the year. Flexibility to working hours, in the 12 weeks prior to event delivery, is essential.
This is primarily a desk top event planning role, with on location site delivery annually in Leeds; the role is solely focused on planning for one annual event year-round, not multiple events across the year.
Duties & Responsibilities -
Prime responsibility is to manage a series of allocated tasks and sponsor activation areas
· Complete event management action plans from inception to live activation for sponsor clients for each of their respective site areas
· Liaising with sponsor clients to ensure their activation area is safe, well-organised and all sponsor requirements are met (branding, supply, F&B etc)
· Ensure positive sponsor client relations, to ensure continued sponsor support year-on-year
- Manage and negotiate with suppliers for best outcomes and for successful delivery on site
- Supported and directed by team Operational Managers; reporting to Operations Director as required
- Clear communication and exceptional organisation skills with a proven track record – be prepared to share examples of experiences and how problems have turned into solutions
- Responsibility for event logistics and accompanying health & safety, and risk factors
- Setting, communicating and maintaining timelines and priorities
- Applicants must be able to demonstrate previous live on-site event management experience and share outcomes and learnings – preferably, but not essential, for larger scale events
Skills & Experience -
- Previous experience in delivering event management plans – open to consider any level of experience
- An all-rounder with the ability to multi-task. The occupant of this role will be subject to constant demands, require quick response times and a solution-based mind set
- A self-motivated individual able to manage their own time effectively to meet the demands of the job and to prioritise effectively
- An individual who is not afraid to put forward ideas and alternatives and will be comfortable highlighting problems and proposing solutions
- Good IT skills. Experience of Word / Outlook essential and particularly Excel. Experience of any automated event management systems a benefit (training can be given).
Essential
· Must have a track record of delivering event plans, preferably covering a wide range of disciplines
· An understanding of any / some Health & Safety, RAMS and risk mitigation
· Must be flexible to work additional hours where required
· Meet the required SLA’s that will be in place (ie, response times to queries etc)
